Prior to starting Santa Fe Hospitality Group, Jim served for sixteen years as the President and General Manager of a multi-property, high profile hotel corporation based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Jim believes in the strength of people. He believes that at the core of every successful business - skilled, passionate, engaged and motivated individuals - make the difference between success and mediocrity.  Jim's belief in the strength of people creates exceptional hospitality communities;  employee turnover is low, morale is high despite challenging times, customer service is excellent  and productivity and profitability exceed expectations.

Today, as a professional hotel and tourism consultant to growing and evolving hospitality entities, Jim also creates time to focus his skills and considerable energy on industry-relevant organizations like chairing the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Historic Hotels division. Winning awards is not his motivation - but the hospitality industry has recognized him as a leader time and again - from AHMA's Volunteer of the Year to the 2009 to New Mexico State University Hospitality School's 2009 Most Valuable Industry Professional - to award-winning bilingual tutor at a local elementary school.

Jim's hands-on leadership style and skills have been honed from the ground up.  His career started as a front desk manager at the biggest, busiest hotel in Washington, D.C. and progressed from there. He is a trusted and respected advocate and advisor within the hospitality and cultural tourism industries and a skilled, bilingual manager, team builder and turnaround expert.

Santa Fe Hospitality Group's hands-on experience ranges from: small, upscale boutique hotels - multi-hotel executive for a privately owned hotel corporation in the Southeast and the Southwest - restaurants and retail - conference center management and development - numerous historic properties - turnaround properties - and convention center operations - major corporate branded properties and more...

Jim is always mindful of budgets, enviromental market conditions, and the special concerns and considerations of managers, staff and owners; his experience and professional attitude serve clients well. Hospitality challenges - large and small - are thoughtfully evaluated, needs-assessed and solutions are recommended and implemented as individual client's goals and budgets allow.

Santa Fe Hospitality Group's team includes experienced professionals - each with a minimum of 20 years experience in the hospitality industry.  After careful assessment and a clear agreement betweenall  individuals,  team members and identified client needs are matched to optimize assets and achieve determined goals. Progress evaluations and reports are ongoing.

Our experienced team has years of real world, hands-on experience creating, developing and growing profitable businesses.
